Animation

Studio Scotts can take people on mindful journeys through virtual landscapes; animation that captures nature's ephemeral moments and helps portray living and breathing systems.

An experiential animation using integrated 2D multimedia animations and changing weather conditions to communicate water management in multi-functional and hard-working landscape cities, that are self-balancing and have diverse natural systems.

Our urban streets represent a large land-take, and we spend a significant proportion of our time on them, so we need to make them work harder for us and our environment. By turning them into citywide ecosystems we edge closer toward the Landscape City, reducing the urban heat island, increasing biodiversity and contributing to our personal and collective wellness.

This animation reveals the bisected worlds of the mangrove forest; the active and rich under-water world that acts as a nursery for so many marine species; and the expansive above-water world that seems almost still and deserted by comparison.

Our urban environments have complex spatial and social layering that bridge the boundaries between private and public. This animation portrays those boundaries; how each sphere can be detached from its physical locales and become increasingly interwoven with each other. The outcome is a very fluid experiential situation in which the boundaries between public and private are blurred.

An animated exploration of nature, purely landscape with no structure and no design. Just a meadow rich in flowers, and a wet woodland dappled in shade. The camera angles aim to reveal an immersive perspective and give a sense of intimacy.

An autumnal courtyard scene and a live/work space captured in a seamless flythrough sequence that explores colour and motion alongside the juxtaposition of public verses private space.

Flythrough sequence depicting a new residence; how the house will sit in the plot, the views it captures and the future lifestyle.
